Serutan is a discontinued J.B. Williams Co. brand of natural-functioning laxative fiber, featured briefly in a "commercial break" in gniksaM sdrawkcaB (Backwards Masking). The name of the brand comes from the word "natures" backwards (hence its usage in said episode; it also appears due to Ben describing Hoyt Axton's singing backwards as constipated), referencing the product not functioning by having chemicals simulate the colon. It is common for parodies of popular works to have characters whose last names rhyme with "Serutan" (i.e. Saruman from The Lord of the Rings) have said name instead.
